Sport.ro is a private channel in Romania, launched on July 27, 2003 and dedicated entirely to sports. Sport.ro reaches nearly 64% of the population of 21.5 million inhabitants of Romania[citation needed] and its broadcast schedule contains domestic and international sporting events. Sport.ro is broadcasting 24 hours of 7 days and
according to GFK Romania, during January–October 2009, has achieved an average audience of 2.7%.
Sport.ro is targeting urban men between the ages of 18-49 and has a varied program schedule, which combines news, sport shows, enetertainment and the most important sporting competitions in the country and in the world.
